RITA excludes, to the fullest extent permitted by law, any responsibility or liability for any error or inaccuracy in advertising material. RITA only provides advertising opportunities and does not act as an agent for any advertiser, nor do we endorse their work. Content on this website that relates to law or legal developments is based on the laws of South Africa, unless expressly stated otherwise.
This website is made available for public viewing on the basis that RITA excludes, to the extent lawfully permitted, all liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of this website or reliance on its content.

General Conditions (Applicable to all free and paid services offered via the RITA website)
1. By using our services or placing an advertisement, the customer confirms that they have read and agreed to these terms and conditions, as well as RITA’s General Terms and Disclaimers.
2. Although every care is taken, RITA is not liable for any errors, non-appearance, or incorrect positioning of any advertisement, whether caused by negligence or otherwise. Such an error does not cancel the contract, and RITA will not be responsible for any loss or damage (including consequential damage).
3. The placement and positioning of all advertisements is entirely at RITA’s discretion. RITA may cancel or suspend any order if the size of the publication has to be reduced, or if the customer fails to pay or pays late for previous advertisements.
4. RITA reserves the right to alter, shorten or refuse any advertisement that appears illegal, objectionable or defamatory. RITA’s decision is final. Such action does not cancel the contract, and RITA accepts no liability for any resulting loss or damage.
5. All customer instructions must be given in writing before the booking deadline.
6. Where applicable, full payment and proof of payment must be received before any advertising material is placed on RITA’s electronic media. If an existing advertiser wants to extend their contract, they must first provide proof of payment for the extension period; otherwise, the banner will be removed until payment is confirmed.
7. RITA does not automatically renew advertising contracts. The advertiser is responsible for renewing the contract.
8. If an advertisement is not inserted or is inserted incorrectly because of an error or omission by RITA, RITA may (at its sole discretion and without admitting any liability) place the advertisement or a corrected version in a later edition.
9. RITA reserves the right to refuse any advertisement for products or services that compete directly with RITA’s own offerings, where the company/product/service or its quality cannot be verified, or where RITA considers the content offensive, inappropriate or not in the interest of its members and the industry.
10. RITA’s General Disclaimers and Policies apply to all advertising.
11. RITA does not take part in any vetting, reference-checking or selection process and is not responsible for any communication once a member proceeds with an application.
